Education Hour for Adults
1st Sunday of the Month: Dwelling in the Word - Dwelling in the Word is an ancient way of reading Scripture. Used as a faith practice, it is a way of spiritually submitting to the text as one way God speaks to us, with a willingness to be shaped by what God might want to say through the Scripture. In this way, we are being interpreted by the text together as we listen to it. No preparation needed—just show up ready to enter the Word!
2nd Sunday of the Month: Guest Speaker: Join various guest speakers from our community partnerships as we learn more about the ways we are already, and can be, engaged with our neighbors. Have someone you think would make a good speaker? Contact Lee Wollenberg.
3rd Sunday of the Month: Ministry Team Meetings: Have you wanted to serve on a ministry team but weeknight meetings are challenging for you to attend? Many of our ministry teams will now meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month! Check your Good News Page for the list of meetings and locations and be part of shaping our life as church at Good Shepherd!
4th Sunday of the Month: Intergenerational Hands-On Social Ministry Projects: These monthly projects have been such a hit, we’re continuing to do them! Take part in these monthly hands-on service projects as a way to serve our neighbors in need!
GSLC hosts a number of small groups, serving many different people, but each with the same purpose - fellowship and faith in response to God's love! Follow the "learn more" link above to see what might interest you.
At GSLC, we know that faith is a life-long journey. We offer different Bible study opportunities, as well as book discussions, throughout the year.
