First Communion
First Communion Retreat:

Students in 3rd grade join Pastor Chelsea for a morning mini retreat where we learn what it mean to live in community and learn about how we are fed at the table to do so!

Confirmation:
Discipleship University
Based on the promise made during Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation), Good Shepherd's Confirmation program invites participants into two (2) years of diving into life in faithful community and what it means to live as part of the community into adulthood. This program is generally for 7th & 8th graders.

Sunday Morning Christian Education
Largely geared toward beginners through 3rd grade and focused on a single Bible story each week through play, hearing the story, creative arts and service; led by various adults with opportunities for youth involvement in leadership

Junior Youth Group
(Grades 4-6)
Junior Youth Group is an opportunity to begin to engage faith on a deeper level through games, reading Scripture, relationship building and more with dinner provided at the end of each gathering with the Youth Group; led by Nadine Pitti with additional parent or adult chaperones via signup
The Children and Youth Choir nurtures a love for music & worship for our younger members (ages 5 to 17). This Choir joins their voices with the Adult Choir & sings at worship services every other month from Sept to May, Practice is after worship service at 10:45am.

Youth Group (Grades 7-12)
Youth Group creates space for deeper relationship with God and each other with dinner served at the beginning of each gathering; led by Pastor Chelsea and Kevin Scholl alongside other adult volunteers

Fill My Cup
(Grades 9-12)
For 9th-12th graders at Starbucks in Somerville where participants gather with Pastor Chelsea for conversation about life, the world, faith and everything in between; youth bring $3 toward a drink and the church covers the rest

Fill My Cup Jr. (Grades 4-6)
For 4th-6th graders to have an opportunity to have lunch and conversation with Pastor Chelsea at the church; signup will be provided for participation and additional adult chaperones

Family Worship
Interactive worship in Luther Hall intended to teach younger children (but open to all!) the different parts of worship and why we do them, including an interactive sermon, camp-style music, and holy communion distributed by participants; led by Pastor Chelsea and Deacon Jamie with opportunities for youth involvement in leadership

Care for College Students
We want our college-age students to know we are thinking about them! To that end, we send two care packages to them during the year (one in each the fall and spring semesters).
