Children, Youth and Family
There are so many ways for you and your children to get involved at GSLC! Please feel free to contact Pastor Chelsea with any questions or if you'd like more information about any of the opportunities available.
Retreat: March 20-21, 2020
First Communion: Sunday, March 29, 2020
In 2016, GSLC started a new tradition around education for First Communion. Students in 3rd grade, along with their parents, join the pastors at Cross Roads Camp & Retreat Center for a one-night retreat where we learn what it means to live in community and learn about how we are fed at the table to do so!
Confirmation at GSLC occurs when youth are in 7th and 8th grades. Our goal is to confirm our youth with a "faith toolbox" that they can use for the rest of their lives. Many topics are covered, each considering real-life practical faith implications.
Junior Youth Group
1st Sunday of the Month
Youth group for Grades 7-12 happens once a month at GSLC. We gather together for dinner, games, conversation and faith growth as we continue to be in relationship with one another and with God!
JYG will be modeled similarly to Youth Group, though for a shorter amount of time. Our 3rd through 6th graders will be invited to engage more deeply with various Bible stories through games, activity and thoughtful conversation. JYG will provide a safe place for these young people to ask questions and relate Bible stories to their daily lives.
1st Sunday of the month
Family Faith Formation
3rd Sunday of the Month
Grade 2 and under with parents
This program will be about 45 minutes and will focus each month on learning and experiencing a different Bible story in engaging ways.
We will gather as a large group to hear the story and then parents will be sent out with their children to stations that will continue to build upon the story. Our hope is that these activities done together as a family will enhance your faithful conversations with your child(ren) both here at church and at home.

Care for College Students
We want our college-age students to know we are thinking about them! To that end, we send two care packages to them during the year (one in each the fall and spring semesters).
