"God's Work. Our Hands." Sunday is an opportunity for churches across the country to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America — one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. There are many opportunities to participate in this dedicated day of service.
*Give an hour or give an afternoon. Bring family, friends, and neighbors, and volunteer together.
*Donate items listed for projects. ALL ITEMS can be placed in designated collection bins at church in the Narthex.
*Thrivent Members, sponsor one of the projects below and Thrivent will donate $250 towards the project. Contact Donna Walsh at for more info.

Stamp Out Despair Campaign

Hunger Project for SHIP
Collect ingredients, pans and recipes to make chili or meatloaf then freeze and bring to church on September 16 for SHIP.

Assemble and knot-tie fleece blankets for families in shelters

Peters Brook, Somerville Stream Clean Up
Wear sturdy boots and trash-picking gloves and we'll provide the trash bags. You may want to bring bug spray and sunscreen too. Meet at noon at the parking lot across from the ball field on Southside Avenue and be ready to make Peters Brook a little more beautiful!
