On November 19, our Faith Talk session will be presented by Pr. Sara Lilja, Director of LEAMNJ (Lutheran Episcopal Advocacy Ministry of New Jersey).
The topic will be “WHY should we do Advocacy in the Church?” The session will be held from 10:45-11:30 a.m. in Room A. (Note the earlier start time for Faith Talk.)
For those wishing to learn more, a workshop on “HOW to do Advocacy in the Church” will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. in Room B/C. A light lunch will be available for the workshop attendees.
“Advocacy is most effective when we engage as a community of faith, as voting constituents, and as informed participants in the democratic process. As people of faith we advocate within a multi faith context, along-side those who are most affected by systemic injustice.” - LEAMNJ For more information go to www.leamnj.org.
