CHURCH WORK DAY - JULY 17, 2010
There's always so much to do to maintain the church building and the grounds, so every so often we just have a work day to get things done. On this day we had a lot to do to re-mulch all of the children's play equipment used by the Good Shepherd Christian DayCare students, rebuilding the picnic tables and benches, and fixing up and cleaning the classrooms. Though it was hot, we had a good, productive day.
This is just a part of the group that showed up to get things done. It takes a lot of hands, shovels, and wheelbarrows to spread out all that mulch.
As Elvis would say: "Thank you! Thank you very MULCH!"

The outdoor play area that is used by the DayCare and by neighborhood children needed a new layer of mulch. Here you see the new layer being spread out around the tire swing.
The inside work was also important. Broken blinds and torn screens got replaced, and all the rooms got cleaned.
